About the author
Helga McKee is also the co-author and translator of My Journey of Captivity by Hans Gussmann. Born in Nuremberg, Germany, and having spent four years in France, Helga immigrated to the United States in 1956 and now calls Tennessee home. She is a devoted mother, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of four.
Beyond her work on her father’s biography, Helga has also written short stories and is currently working on her third book. A woman of diverse interests, she enjoys music, singing, dancing, spending time with her family, traveling, and gardening. Helga is a dynamic and inspiring literary figure in her own right.
